CEBU, Philippines - Miss Olive-C Campus Model Visayas 2014 winner Mhon Theress Menaling is the official representative of Mandaue City, Cebu, to the Miss Philippines Earth 2015 pageant slated on May 31 at the SM Mall of Asia.

Menaling, who won fourth runner-up in the Miss Mandaue 2013 competition, said she is currently preparing for the pageant and admitted that her inspirations are fellow Cebuana beauty queens – Miss Earth 2008 Karla Paula Henry and Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell. Like the said beauties, she said she is also a serious environmental advocate.

This means she is currently putting on hold her career because she wants to focus and give her best in the pageant. She just recenlty graduated BS Biology from Cebu Doctors’ University.

The young Cebuana beauty titlist is grateful to Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes who recently signified his intention to help her from start to finish. “I would also personally thank Sir Jim Acosta of Psalmstre Enterprises and my Olive-C family for their undying support. Olive-C is very instrumental to helping me reach where I am at now,” she said.

Asked what preparations she is doing to ensure victory in Miss Philippines Earth, the Kim Chiu look-alike readily said she is mastering her catwalk and learning the skills of answering extemporaneous questions.

“I also meditate a lot and talk to God more often. This is where I find deep peace and inner strength which are vital towards self-improvement. I also fill myself up with current events, especially recent environmental issues,” according to Menaling. – Rich M. Salibay (FREEMAN)
