Angelina, Brad joining forces for new movie

CEBU, Philippines - For the first time in nine years, longtime partners Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are collaborating on an upcoming movie, Deadline reported.

Pitt, 50, met his current mate on the set of their first movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” which arrived in theaters in June 2005. While the action flick was successful, it may be best known for bringing the power couple together.

The parents to six children will team up for a film based on an original script that Jolie, 38, wrote. The publication speculates that Pitt and Jolie will star opposite one another in the leading roles.

This won’t be Jolie’s first time penning a script for the big screen. She wrote the 2011 war drama “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” which opened to mixed reviews from critics.

Jolie’s upcoming films include the Disney feature “Maleficent” with Elle Fanning, Juno Temple, and Brenton Thwaites, and a vocal part in “Kung Fu Panda 3,” which is scheduled to arrive in 2015. She also recently led the war drama “Unbroken,” producing and directing the film, which is set for a December release.

Pitt’s only major upcoming project is the WWII drama “Fury” with Shia LaBeouf, Scott Eastwood, and Logan Lerman, which is scheduled for a November release.

The beautiful actress hinted that she and Pitt were thinking about reuniting on the big screen back in 2012. When asked if the idea is something along the lines of a romantic comedy, Jolie responded, “We don’t know how funny we are,” she said. “And you never know what you want to see an actual couple do. Sometimes it’s better if they’re not a couple.” (FREEMAN)
