‘Pretty Little Liars’ star engaged to ‘Suits’ actor

CEBU, Philippines - Troian Bellisario, who plays Spencer Hastings on the hit ABC Family series “Pretty Little Liars,” is engaged to “Suits” actor Patrick J. Adams. The couple of three years confirmed the news to People on Monday.

According to Daily Mail, the pair is currently on vacation in Europe, where Adams may have popped the question.

Bellisario and Adams met on the set of a play in 2009, and were friends for two years before dating. Getting together posed a bit of a problem for the actors since their shows film in different cities. “Pretty Little Liars” shoots in Los Angeles, while “Suits,” which airs on USA Network, films in Toronto.

“It’s constant coordinating,” Bellisario told People in October of their long-distance relationship. “It’s really hard to be away from the person you love, especially when they’re your rock and support system.”

Many couples find that time or space away from each other forces better communication and creative solutions to staying intimate, which Bellisario seemed to agree with. “It’s a challenge but it’s kind of perfect because we’re such analytic, hyper intelligent people that sometimes just to be in each other’s faces all the time might have been too much for us,” she added. “We’re really growing!” (FREEMAN)
