Hollywood’s Halloween Queen

CEBU, Philippines - Supermodel and “Project Runway” host Heidi Klum sure sinks her teeth into Halloween. Not only is her annual spooky soiree a hot ticket, but her costumes, which she starts working on months in advance, are always a must-see: from fun and festive to over-the-top awesome. What costume will the mom of four rock this year?

In 2006, the reality TV star was eight months pregnant and there was speculation that she wouldn’t even have a party. But she just can’t quit Halloween. She put a creative spin on her costume, dressing as the serpent and apple from the Garden of Eve. Her then-husband Seal went as Eve.

In 2010, the “America’s Got Talent” judge dressed as a Transformer with special boots, which boost her height to eight-feet tall. Her costume included a purple glitter mask, colored contacts, and cool zigzag fake teeth.

Superstorm Sandy led her to cancel her annual soiree in 2012. But she vowed she would wear the Cleopatra costume and she did, having a Haunted Holiday party in early December instead. It took several hours to get her makeup done because she had hundreds of stones individually glued to her face.

In 2008, Klum went as Kali, the Hindu goddess of destruction. With the base of a blue bodysuit, it was all about the accessories, which included heads, hands, red beady eyes, and a sword. Her portrayal of the deity with vampire fangs and a skirt made of severed bloody hands upset Hindu leaders.

At her first party in 2011, Klum arrived in an anatomy-inspired ensemble with a hand-painted bodysuit displaying bones, muscles, veins and tendons. The look, which took three and a half hours to put together, also included gross yellow prosthetic teeth and red contact lenses. She arrived on a stretcher with two blood-stained doctors wheeling her into the red carpet and into the bash.
