Shalani Soledad to co-host "Willing Willie"

CEBU, Philippines - Shalani Soledad, the famous ex-girlfriend of President Noynoy Aquino, has officially taken the showbiz plunge. She's now Willie Revillame's co-host in "Willing Willie," his new game show on TV5. She will start appearing today, Nov. 8.

Details are still sketchy as to how the lovely Valenzuela city councilor was persuaded to accept the hosting job, considering Revillame was the staunchest showbiz supporter and endorser of P-Noy's rival, Sen. Manny Villar, in last May's national elections. Could this move have anything to do with Soledad's future plans to seek higher office, as she has had mentioned in media interviews?

Talking, however, in front of the cameras should not be entirely new to Shalani as she used to be a TV reporter for UNTV.

But by officially joining showbiz, Soledad will further expose herself to intrigues. Reporters have been hounding her since she was unveiled as P-Noy's girlfriend and potential First Lady, so to speak, during the election campaign period. The media attention then went overdrive when reports that she has also broken up with P-Noy last September surfaced.
