“Reminisce” with Lani Misalucha

-

Lani Misalucha's inspiring success story continues with the release of her new "Reminisce" album from Universal Records, which did their best to bring her back home for the launching and promotion of the new CD. Universal Records believes that there is nothing better than actually bringing back the world-class diva to her Filipino audience.

The new CD, entirely recorded in Las Vegas, Nevada, contains 14 best-loved songs, superbly performed by the platinum-selling diva.

Universal Records producer/arranger/songwriter Ito Rapadas travelled all the way to the US to personally supervise the entire recording of "Reminisce" in Las Vegas.

"It is a sheer joy and such a rewarding experience to work with a genuine song artist like Lani," Ito remarks. "Given such a limited and borrowed time, we have finished 'Reminisce.' All of Lani's dedication to her art and her generosity to share to her audience that God-given talent can all be heard in the album."

Lani calculates that it took more than a year to finish "Reminisce." Just listening to hundreds of songs and making the final repertoire was time consuming. Then came the arrangements and rehearsals.

"The actual Vegas recording took us more than a month," Lani recounts. "We have to be extra careful to every aspect of the job. Yes, we worked on borrowed time since I have to finish my daily show, before going to the studio."

Now Lani Misalucha offers 14 heartwarming love tunes, with "Love Of My Life" as first single in "Reminisce."  Such generous sampling of her vocal styling and power will surely gladden the heart and enrich the soul.

With every song rendition, the world-class diva weaves vocal magic that always inspires and sometimes overpowers -- such as in "Here, There & Everywhere" (Beatles), "Someone That I Used To Love" (Natalie Cole), "Healing" (Deniece Williams)  "Bridges" (Sergio Mendes) and "Love Of My Life" (Queen).

Moreover, Lani's unique talent put across the listener beyond the mere messages of the lyrics of the songs. It transports one to the deep emotions of love, like in "I Loved You All The Way" (Janie Frickie), "Get Here" (Oleta Adams), "Whispering Waves (Donna Summer), "Skyline Pigeon" (Elton John), "Tin Man" (America), "Where Is The Love/Feel Like Making Love Medley" (Roberta Flack), "We Could Have It  All" (Maureen McGovern) and even in the bonus track,  "Iisa Pa Lamang" (from the ABS-CBN teleserye Iisa Pa Lamang).

All the photos in such charming cover, back cover and inside spread and sleeves are from an actual pictorial along the famous Las Vegas strip.

With Lani's new potential platinum CD, you can look back to a gloriously happy and lovely future; and more importantly, look forward to other forthcoming recordings from the world-class diva.

Her "Reminisce" CD was formally launched at ABS-CBN's "ASAP 08" last August 17.
