On finally getting married, Dolphy: ‘I’ve always been ready’
Topnotch Ateneo cager Chris Tiu was tapped by GMA 7 to host “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not,” one of the three shows in the Kapuso network’s Bilib Ka Ba Nights. This is the second show that the handsome UAAP star is hosting. He’s the co-host of Manny Pacquiao in “Pinoy Records” that is aired every Saturday.
Although he’s good-looking enough to be a movie star, Chris has no plans of entering the movies. Or go full time as a TV host. He’s still busy with his studies and he’s taking up a second course in Ateneo where he graduated with a degree in Management Engineering.
What do his friends and classmates say now that he’s already a celebrity? “Okay naman sila. They already knew before. Siguro medyo nanibago lang sila na pumasok ako sa media. Siguro naisip na gusto ko lang sa basketball at sa business,” he said.
Chris is on his last semester as a basketball player for the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP. “My priority is still school and of course, one of my priorities is to help Ateneo win the championship. I am sacrificing a lot of my time for my family and for my friends because of my priority. I am giving enough time for training which takes about four to five hours. Pag wala naman akong training, nasa taping naman ako for my two shows. My parents are very supportive of the things that I do,” he said.

Comedy King Dolphy wouldn’t want to talk about plans to get married with longtime partner Zsa Zsa Padilla. But since the press has been, indeed, bent on getting more info on the matter (or why the wedding hasn’t pushed through), Dolphy told the press to talk to Zsa Zsa instead.
Dolphy even said that if Vic Sotto is planning to get married to Pia Guanio, the showbiz news anchor of “24 Oras” in the segment “Chika Minute” and a co-host of “Eat Bulaga,” he’s open to the idea of a double wedding.
The comedy king denied that he and Zsa Zsa had a fight that’s why his ladylove was not around during his birthday party. Zsa Zsa was abroad for a singing engagement and could not be with him on the celebration of his birthday which also served as the launching of his book, “Hindi Ko Ito Narating Mag-isa,” which was written by Bibeth Orteza. But he didn’t sleep on the day Zsa Zsa was supposed to arrive so he could fetch her at the airport.
Dolphy is working with Vic for the first time in the comedy “Dobol Trobol (Get Ready 2 Rambol). The comedy king and the box-office king jointly produced this project together with APT Productions of Tony Tuviera. The movie opened last Wednesday at theaters nationwide.

Jomari Yllana denied rumors that he and girlfriend Pops Fernandez have parted ways. In fact, the actor said that he and Pops are still very together and there’s no problem with their relationship contrary to rumors that he’s now dating a society girl.
“We are still very much together,” Jomari told the press at the launch of TV 5 at C3 Events Place in Greenhills last week. He is hosting a new show on TV 5 titled “
He is wondering why rumors came out that he and Pops are no longer an item. It seems Jomari was truly affected by the rumor because he really made an effort to secure a copy of the paper where the item came out. Even Pops herself wondered why it has been rumored that she and Jomari have broken up.
Jomari couldn’t help but surmise that since he and Pops have been quiet about their relationship, some people must have had this wrong notion that they are no longer together. But Jom is proud to say that they’re still going strong with their relationship that has lasted close to three years now.
“Even if we’re both busy, that’s not a reason to affect our relationship. If we have free time, we still go out. I guess what makes our relationship work is our compatibility. We get along really, really well. We have a good conversation and we enjoy each other’s company,” he said.
