Ford arrives in Bohol

CEBU, Philippines - Auto Premium Incorporated formally opened the first Ford dealership in the province of Bohol last July 5, 2013.  Their one thousand five hundred square meter facility is located along Carlos P. Garcia, North Avenue, Taloto District, Tagbilaran City.  Auto Premium Inc. or Ford Bohol, is a partnership between the Autohub Group of Willy Q. Tee Ten (WQT Group) and the Autocentral Group of Brian Chua and Lyndon Go. 

Gracing the opening were Provincial Board Member, Dr. Yul Lopez, Tagbilaran Mayor John Geesnell Yap, Vice Mayor Toto Veloso, Ford Group Philippines Managing Director Kay Hart and Ford Marketing & Sales Vice President, Mr. Danny Chua.

According to Brian Chua, Director of Ford Bohol, the rising tourism industry, the growing number of US-based OFW’s and the entry of ICT and BPO industries into the province influenced their decision in opening a Ford dealership in Bohol.  They felt that it was the right time to introduce the Ford brand to the Boholanos.

When asked why they chose Ford over the other vehicle brands, Mr. Chua stated that it was the heritage and prestige of the Ford brand and the broad product range they offer that made the decision fairly easy.  From the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus for the yuppies, to the Ford Ranger, Ford Explorer and Ford Expedition preferred by doctors and professionals, Ford caters to a market base that is both broad and tailor-fit to the needs of the people from Bohol.  And being an American brand, the growing US-based OFW’s from Bohol can easily relate to and trust the Ford brand.

The record-breaking sales of Ford Group Philippines for the first and second quarter of 2013, plus their aggressive plan to have thirty-five Ford dealerships by the end of the year also buoyed their decision to partner with Ford.

To gain an edge over the other car brands that have already setup dealerships in the province of Bohol, Ford Bohol have opted to personalize their customer service.  “We have a hands-on approach in managing our dealership operations because we believe in giving our customers that extra personal touch. We are one of the newest and biggest dealerships in Bohol and we want to make sure to provide the best customer service to our existing and future clients," says Lyndon Go General Manager.

Mr. Go also added that the goal of Ford Bohol is to create a long term relationship with their clients.  They intend to achieve this by personally communicating with their clients and create events and activities aimed at establishing a Ford community in Bohol.
