Nasundan pa kini sa 8th, 9th ug 10th Congresses (1987–1998) ug sa Batasang Pambansa (1984–1986); 12th , 13th congress ug kataposan siyang nahimong kongresista sa 2nd District niadtong 2007 nga natapos 2010.
Sa nakalabay nga piniliay niadtong 2019, si Cuenco nakadaog isip konsehal sa 2nd District sa Cebu City.
