CEBU, Philippines – Limpyohan sa kagamhanan sa Siyudad sa Sugbo ang kadalanan gikan sa mga street dwellers human sa sidewalk vendors. Plano ni Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella nga ang mga street dwellers temporaryo nga papuy-on sa usa ka building aron ligoon, pakan-on ug ilisdan.
Human makuhaan sa profile, ibalik sila sa mga probinsiya diin sila gikan ubos sa “Balik Probinsiya Program” sa siyudad.
“I go out in the morning at 5:30 a.m. While checking the garbage, I see the homeless people in the streets. We are looking for a half-way house for them to have a temporary shelter to give them a bath, food, and eventually bring them to their respective towns,” sigun sa mayor.
Gihimo na sa Anti-Mendicancy Task Force ug Department of Social Welfare and Services ang profiling sa mga nagpuyo sa kadalanan sa siyudad.
Si Dr. Jeffrey Ibones, pangulo sa DSWS, niingon nga ang bag-ong administrasyon nagsugod sa pag-rescue sa mga walay pinuy-anan nga mga tawo niadto pang Hulyo.
