6 nabbed for robbing Chinese

MANILA, Philippines — Six persons, four of them women, were arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a Chinese man in Barangay Palanan, Makati City Thursday. 

Lyzander Cantoria, James Soriano, Analyn Castro, Aurora Balias, Heraclea Sison and Loraine Roa were reportedly caught forcing Zhu Cao to withdraw money at an automated teller machine along Gil Puyat Avenue, Senior Superintendent Gerry Umayao said.

Roa denied Cao’s allegations, saying they were only helping him out.

Police reportedly recovered money, beverages and tablets of anti-anxiety drug Valium from the suspects.
