“Eve Online” on mobile

CCP Games, the maker of the hit “Eve Online” PC game, revealed last week that it is developing a mobile variant of the game.

Expected to be made available by 2018 and titled “Project Aurora,” the game essentially brings the “Eve Online” experience to the mobile platform, immersing players to the “Eve” universe via a game that’s specifically made for the Android and iOS operating systems.

Developed by CCP Games’ partner PlayRaven, “Project Aurora” is not a mobile integration of “Eve Online,” but it will highlight the multiplayer and action-themed highlights that made “Eve Online” a well-loved game for 14 years and running. AIM to shutdown by December 15

America Online (AOL) announced on October 6 that it will be shutting down its “AIM” messenger service by December 15.

The announcement came months after AOL revealed that it will be cutting AIM interconnections with third-party chat/messaging client apps. The move was then foreseen as initiatory steps towards the chat/messaging platform’s shutdown.

The shutdown announcement comes some 20 years since the messaging platform changed the way netizens get in touch with one another online.

Facebook’s “screen sharing” features in its “Workplace”

Facebook has rolled out a new “screen sharing” feature to its enterprise-focused messaging and social media platform, bolstering the platform’s range of practical communication tools and utilities.

Basically, the new feature can be accessed through the “Workplace” web-app or via the updated “Workplace Chat” app for desktop systems. Users of the services are armed with a set of communication tools that are intended to make the tasks of social media content managers faster and easier – covering task/messaging automation, enhanced features for real-time communication/collaboration, workflow/tasks cascading and more.

“Workplace” was launched last year, in October. It’s worth noting that “Workplace Chat” is one of two Facebook apps for desktops, a distinction which it shares with “Facebook Gameroom.”
