NBI Director Reynaldo Wycoco told reporters yesterday that at least three blue ink marks, possibly made by a ballpen were seen running from the lower lip of the actress face going across her left cheek.
"It reinforces our theory that something about property was behind her death," said Wycoco.
According to the NBI chief, Blancas killer could have pressured her to sign something, probably a document before she was killed.
Wycoco said that the alleged ballpen ink marks were seen during a close-up look at the actress photograph. The photograph of Blancas face was taken at the crime scene shortly after her body was discovered inside her car at the 6th floor parking area of the Atlanta Center building in Greenhills, San Juan last Nov. 7.
He added that the ballpen marks had been seen by investigators before but were not noted for any significance.
Some NBI agents, however, doubted that what the investigators have identified as alleged ballpen marks could just be a lighting effect misinterpreted as ink marks.
"It could be possible that there were no ballpen marks. It could have been a lighting effect interpreted as ink marks," said one agent.
According to the agent who refused to be identified, there was no way to confirm the alleged ink marks on Blancas face from the close-up photo taken at the crime scene as her body was cleaned before the autopsy.
The NBI earlier filed charges against alleged self-confessed killer Philip Medel; Blancas husband Rod Strunk and two other persons for their involvement in the Blanca murder case. Mike Frialde
