Will Willie quit Wowowee?

The answer to that banner question will depend on the outcome of a closed-door heart-to-heart talk between Wowowee host Willie Revillame and ABS-CBN chairman & CEO Gabby Lopez scheduled today.

Meanwhile, Willie has been missing from the show for more than one week now, keeping his “vow” made on air that he would quit if the management of dzMM, ABS-CBN’s sister company, wouldn’t fire Jobert Sucaldito whom Willie accused of hitting him “for one year now” on Jobert’s radio program.

Mercifully, Jobert has listened to management’s advice to stop hitting Willie but he is standing pat on his resolve not to apologize to Willie, not ever!

The in-house “feud” erupted only a few days before the May 10 polls. Willie has openly campaigned for Sen. Manny Villar who has already conceded to Sen. Noynoy Aquino who is leading in the presidential race.

Funfare Update’s Bohol Avenue DPA said that the row between Willie and Jobert is not politically-motivated.

“I voted for Gibo (Teodoro),” said Jobert.

But Pokwang, one of the Wowowee co-hosts who owes Willie a debt of gratitude, showed up at one of Noynoy’s rallies without informing Willie as she should have (as a gesture of courtesy, you know).

“I don’t regret campaigning for Noynoy,” Pokwang was quoted as saying, “although I regretted not having asked Willie’s permission.”

Willie’s absence from Wowowee is made more intriguing by his silence.

“Willie has prepared a resignation letter,” added the Funfare Update DPA. “His contract with ABS-CBN is still good for one year and a half.”

The big question is: Will Willie submit that letter to Gabby Lopez during their meeting today?

Stay tuned.

Reacting to yesterday’s Funfare story, somebody close to the Aquinos said that, contrary to what people (this one included might be expecting), there wouldn’t be any wedding in Malacañang during President-Apparent Noynoy Aquino’s six-year term. Does that mean Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad will be just, ehem, a First Girlfriend? Ang lungkot naman. But then, Noynoy could change his mind, why not?

But Noynoy won’t be without any First Lady. In fact, he’ll have four — his sisters, Ballsy, Viel, Pinky and Kris.

Asked in a TV interview before the May 10 elections who would be his First Lady, if and when, Noynoy said, “My four sisters will be helping me out.”

Funfare Update texted Kris Aquino yesterday the following questions: What role will she have in the Noynoy Administration? Will she and her family (husband James Yap and children Joshua and Baby James) have a room in Malacañang? Will James be appointed to a sports-related position?

Kris’s answer?

“Bad to presume, Tito Ricky!”

What’s up?

• Not included in Funfare’s list of winning showbiz candidates were: Lou Veloso who topped the race for councilors in Manila’s sixth district; and Alma Moreno, Ryan Yllana, Val Sotto, Roselle Nava and Jason Webb, all councilors in Parañaque City. More names will be included in the list as soon as more results come in.
