MANILA, Philippines — A Filipino real estate agent based in the United Arab Emirates has closed a landmark AED 1-billion (approximately P15 billion) off-plan project in Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah in collaboration with his former employer.

Aquino Plotado, now an independent broker based in Ras Al Khaimah, has built a solid reputation as an expert in the region.

His body of work, includes the sale of two plots in Umm Al Quwain, multiple apartment units in Marjan Island, and a luxurious AED 17-million penthouse in the prestigious Danah Bay project by Dubai Investments, strategically located in front of the UAE’s first-ever casino.

Plotado’s decision to bring the deal to fäm Properties, his former employer, underscores his collaborative spirit and business acumen.

During his brief but impactful 10-month stint at fäm Properties, he nearly closed an AED 1.5 billion hotel deal in Marjan Island within his very first month, highlighting his ability to manage mega-deals even in the region’s competitive market.

“Focusing on Ras Al Khaimah was one of the smartest decisions I made,” Plotado said. “It allowed me to build stronger relationships, gain unparalleled market knowledge, and serve clients with the highest level of expertise.”

Plotado’s talents extend beyond real estate. The Filipino recently produced the short film “As The Call, So The Echo”, which became a finalist at the 11th Emirates Film Festival. It earned two major awards: Best Actor for Enzo Pineda and Best Director for Rusty Palacio Guarin, alongside nominations for Best Child Actor (Prince España) and Best Film.

Demonstrating his commitment to giving back, Plotado also donated P1 million to his alma mater, Potrero National High School in Malabon City, Philippines, through his Aquino Plotado Philanthropy Foundation. He also provided nine printers, a sound system, and cash gifts to 28 teachers and over 100 students.
