WATCH: When the richest want their taxes raised

Some of the wealthiest people from New York wrote to lawmakers to ask if they and other top earners should pay more taxes to support schools, roads, and programs to help the poor.

They proposed that a higher income tax bracket will be created for top earners to raise about $2 billion
