A meaningful partnership

Kitchen appliance brand Viking Range recently hosted a lunch to celebrate its continuing partnership with the Red Charity Gala, which has been raising funds for the Philippine Red Cross and Assumption High School Batch 1981 Foundation.

The brand has given significant auction items in support of the gala’s fundraising activities for three consecutive years.

The lunch, held at the Viking Range Showroom in Westgate Commercial Center in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, was organized by Red Charity Gala chairperson Tessa Prieto-Valdes and the appliance brand’s PR Tedrick Yau.

Chef JP Anglo whipped up sumptuous dishes that included tangigue kinilaw with avocado on toast, salt and pepper prawns with guinamos aioli, baked tuna belly with hot soybean crab flakes, roasted chicken in batwan curry and turon dipped in Chocnut syrup for dessert.

The showroom displays excellent top-of-the-line kitchen appliances for Filipino homes. Its working kitchen has been a stage where the country’s top chefs execute wonderful cooking presentations. The brand highlights its prized 7 Series Gas Range, induction cook top, island hood, ovens, wine chillers, food warmers, among others.

Viking Range was founded in the US and has been part of American homes since 1987. By 2013, the brand was acquired by The Middleby Corp., a global leader in the commercial foodservice equipment industry. Middleby Worldwide Philippines Inc., the local arm of The Middleby Corp., is the official distributor of Viking Range in the Philippines.

Parents always want the best for their family. This was highlighted during the recent launch of brands aden + anais and Seventh Generation. At the twin launch, guests learned more about caring for a baby and having eco-consciousness on home products.

Aden + anais is a global brand that thoughtfully cares for babies’ needs. In the Philippines, its main highlight is the swaddle blanket. Swaddling is a traditional practice of carefully wrapping a baby in a soft blanket, a method that provides a sense of safety and security for babies and is also a way to help babies sleep.

Meanwhile, Seventh Generation, established 30 years ago, is a brand that cares for both the current population and the generations ahead. Its products are derived from plants and other renewable agricultural, marine and forestry materials. The company believes in using only recycled materials to design the packaging.

Gretchen Choa-Uy, the official distributor of the two brands in the Philippines, shared that the brands’ wellness and hypoallergenic properties are perfect for her family. She said she brought the products to the Philippines to share their benefits to others.

Choa-Uy introduced brand ambassadors Cristina Gomez-Ong, who spoke about the importance of being able to create a healthy home environment; and Christine Dychiao, who talked about her personal experience of using both brands when she was living in New York and taking care of her family in Manila.
