MANILA, Philippines — On Independence Day there’s nothing better than letting your Philippine flag fly literally and figuratively and Rustan’s is doing just that with its “One Home, One Hope” campaign, which envisions a hopeful Philippines unbowed by the pandemic and focused on caring for all our homes: our country, our personal abodes, and offering Rustan’s as a second home to its customers.

“We are committed to the idea of ‘One Home, One Hope’ to strengthen our solidarity with our countrymen as we help uplift the society’s mindset to look forward to brighter days,” says Zenaida “Nedy” Tantoco, Rustan’s chairman and CEO.

The “One Home, One Hope” logo is anchored on the colors of the rainbow, the message being that Rustan’s is a light, bright, welcoming place you’d feel safe shopping in. Not only have all the stores been cleaned and disinfected and employees tested, store policies now include strict health and safety protocols like social-distancing markers and no sampling of beauty products.

“As an establishment that has been a second home for many shoppers, we will stay dedicated in implementing thorough safety protocols to ensure that our employees and shoppers are protected and can visit us with ease of mind,” assures Tantoco.

Rustan’s wouldn’t be the retail icon it is without coupling these safety measures with the company’s unparalleled customer service, like their Personal Shopper On Call, a program close to Tantoco’s heart. Simply call the number provided and you can tell a shopping concierge what you need from multiple brands and departments within the store and they’ll shop for you, at no extra cost.

You can pick and choose from Rustan’s Private Brands — proudly homegrown labels like Criselda Lontok and Jill by Jojie Lloren that have long showcased Filipino design talent.

In another move that shows the retail institution’s nationalism, resilience and adaptability to the new normal, Rustan’s is tying up with local designers to manufacture PPEs and DPEs (daily protective equipment), according to Dina Tantoco, Rustan’s marketing and communications head.

“We would like to provide solutions for you and your personal home,” Dina says.

“Our goal for the past 70 years has always been to serve the community with great service and to provide a safe environment that feels like home,” affirms Nedy Tantoco.
