Yes, I believe!
Second of four parts
I don’t have to see the Creator to believe in His existence. All I have to do is marvel at His creations. In Rome, I saw structures built centuries ago and I knew that somebody long gone had created them. Closer to home, every time I watch a show at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), I know that somebody created the sprawling building. The creation proves the reality of the creator.

“I was able to rescue my companions, in spite of a broken center sternum and severely compressed fracture of my L2 and T1 spine that needed badly to be operated on by a spine specialist, by a doctor who came from New York. He installed a piece of stainless steel to support my spine. This happened right after I got the blessings of our righteous priesthood holders at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.”

“I first learned that there was God when I was a small boy, from my Mom who told me stories from our big Bible with colored illustrations which fascinated me and got me very interested in God. “First was when the Lord gave Carlo to me and my partner Jimmy when I prayed that I wanted to have a child that would make me a father and complete our concept of a family. Our son Carlo is now a father himself and a proud Dad to our lovely granddaughter Pia.
“The second time was the Lord guided me when our family went through difficult times, helped me overcome the challenges and brought me and my family to our present status which allows us some small measure of comfort.
“The most difficult time was the third incident. I never prayed so hard than I did when Jimmy suffered a heart attack, not once but twice. During those very trying times, I prayed to God to bless Jimmy with complete healing and recovery and strength for me and Carlo. And on those two occasions, the Lord answered our prayers. Jimmy survived both operations.
“I never fear because I know that there is God who will always provide. I have always believed that ‘The Lord is the Great Equalizer. For every Minus, He will always give us a Plus.’”
