They say that music is a universal language that everyone speaks. Through music, emotional experiences connect and we are all able see the world differently.

Hence, GMA Artist Center talents all come together through an online concert series called #HealingHearts - Songs of Hope from your Kapuso to the World amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which is affecting the lives of everyone.

In a series of Facebook live streams, various Kapuso stars perform inspirational songs to spark hope and encourage people to be more positive. This also serves as a platform to raise funds for GMA Kapuso Foundation’s efforts to aid our fellow Filipinos who have no means of livelihood due to the enhanced community quarantine.

As challenges and responses continue to arise due to the pandemic, the world is also transfixed on news and information that overwhelm us. We are all faced with uncertainties and stress as we all hope to flatten the curve and beat the virus.

With this, the talented Kapuso stars who took part in the project share words of encouragement on how to stay healthy, not only physically but also mentally as we go on with our lives, one day at a time.

Bianca Umali: To everyone, including myself, who may be struggling physically, mentally and emotionally through dark times, believe that this too shall pass. Never lose faith and hope. Pagdadaanan lang natin to. Kaya natin to. Laban!

God bless sa ating lahat, kaya natin to.

Mikee Quintos: If you’ve never tried yoga before, now’s the time to do it. It’s going to help you not only physically, but also your mental and emotional health. The feeling of going back into your body and not just getting stuck in your head and overthinking things. Take a short break, you finally have the time to.

Jeric Gonzales: My advice to everyone now that we are experiencing this kind of crisis is that the best way to gain strength is to spend time with our families and God. No one will make us strong in these times other than them. Let us spend more time with our loved ones, let us enjoy this little moment that we have with them, and let us not forget to pray and have faith in God.

Jak Roberto: We should not lose hope. Follow necessary measures to fight this disease. Let’s stay in our homes and let’s all be united to help flatten the curve.

Kris Bernal: Everything is temporary. All the troubles, stresses, anxiety that you have today, will be completely gone. This is just a storm that will pass. The only permanent thing in this world is God’s miracles.

EA Guzman: Have faith in God. Hindi niya tayo pababayaan. Always remember to pray.

Althea Ablan: It is important to count our blessings, be grateful for our lives and the privileges we have. In tough times like these, we also have to trust the Lord, for He is the only one we can lean on.

Kim de Leon: As we’ve all walked through this difficult time, today has brought clearly into view that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. Our time is limited. We should not waste it by just worrying about the things we are not in control of. Together, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, for it is temporary, but the unseen things which are eternal.

Hannah Precillas: I think we’re all affected in different aspects. For now, all of us should wholeheartedly pray. We should lift up everything to God. There is nothing more powerful than prayer and Him.

The virus might be keeping people apart but music is also bringing us all together. As we are remotely connected during these distressing times through #HealingHearts, we can feel that the combination of the melody and the lyrics offer a hug, a pat on the back and the promise that we are not alone.
