Only when it Harts

Nathalie Hart calls herself babaeng bakla. She speaks her mind without fear and she takes no offense at how people often base their judgment on the personality or image she projects on screen. Some say she is a nude model. Others tell she’s a porn star. A few blatantly pertain to her as “retokada.”

Apparently, Nathalie couldn’t care less if people think of her that way. She’s got confidence giving her thought in a manner that is clear, polite and straightforward. She was never unruffled when she sat down for an interview in Tonight With Boy Abunda (TWBA) a few nights ago. Her tone was full with occasional giggles.

“Not really nude but like in a way that I started in a sexy movie that really took my clothes off,” she said on being tagged as a nude model.

She was not afraid to admit having undergone a lot of beauty enhancements. “Of course, I had enhancements. I have tattoos. I had lip tattoos, eyebrow tattoos and like I’ve said before I had enhancement with my boobs so I really don’t care. For me, I’m insecure and I know how to take care of it.”

Nathalie broke into a smile upon hearing that she is said to be a porn star. She downplayed it by saying that probably Pinoy viewers are not just used to watching an actress as seductive and as “open” as she is.

“Hindi naman porn star siguro kasi sa Pilipinas di pa kaya nilang matanggap yung ginagawa ko na medyo open but I really believe na di naman talaga porn yung ginagawa ko dahil there’s no penetration. Wala akong ginagawa, we practice everything. The only thing is I show boobs in my movies and that’s probably the reason why they are telling I am a porn star.”

Sin Island is among the sexy movies where Nathalie bares a lot of skin. The opportunity to work with Star Cinema came as a surprise for her. Truth is, she was clueless as to why the film outfit suddenly decided to entrust her the third wheel character between married couple portrayed by Xian Lim and Coleen Garcia. Nathalie couldn’t deny her happiness and told, “I was really happy but I don’t know why nagustuhan nila ko. I was actually wondering why me because there are lots of sexy actresses here kaya sabi ko bibigay ko na lang ang lahat ko dito and if they didn’t like me, okay I’ll just move on.”

That said, Nathalie only validated a character that is tough and full of spirit yet she also has a soft spot like everybody else. She turned emotional when she started talking about her dreams of providing a good life for her family. She has 11 siblings with two gay brothers and one of them is a transgender woman.

“I am hurting whenever I fail to give support to my family so for me, I’m very dramatic about that; doon ako may pakialam. I really think about my future and I really wanna go somewhere in life for me to be able to help my brothers at ‘yun ‘yung may pakialam ako pero ‘yung sa iba na sasabihin  nila na I’m malandi, pokpok, I’m a porn star, I don’t care wala akong pakialam sa kanilang lahat.”

Like everybody who wants a good life, Nathalie never tires aiming for it. Why? Nathalie knew her father failed to support them that made life more difficult. Now that she is able to make a living, she is happy about working hard to make life comfortable.

But who is Nathalie Hart? The answer came clear when she replied, “I’m just an open-minded woman, babaeng bakla and I really do whatever I want without hurting other people.

“My dad passed away last June before he died he found out I had very sexy films and he said, ‘You know what, everything is irrelevant as long as you know we love you and you know who you are, you don’t need to listen to these people.’”
