RCBC Gamsi, Amigos now 2-0 in Amicis hoopla
CEBU, Philippines — The RCBC Gamsi and the Amigos cruised to their second straight wins in the 30-above division of the Amicis Basketball League (ABL) Season 2 at the Tayud barangay gym in Consolacion.
Louie Malagar dropped 21 points on top of four rebounds and two assists as RCBC Gamsi dealt Bornfree its first loss, 87-82.
Nino Pilapil chipped in 20 markers while Louie Bio added 11 points for RCBC Gamsi.
Jerry Singson paced Bornfree with 24 points while Mark Gestopa and Ritbon Piezas connived for 31 points in a losing effort.
On the other hand, Christian Conde scattered 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Filhart Suson scored 14 while Raniel Capangpangan contributed 12 points as the Amigos drubbed YYBC, 99-85.
Kobe Ponce exploded for 33 points but his efforts went down the drain for YYBC.
In the other results, the Legendary squad edged Gemini, 87-83, while Alfa Wanbatz destroyed the Casili Residences, 82-67.
Jake Menoza, Brian Calzada and James Tudtud showed the way for Legendary with 41 combined points, while Kirt Reuyan topped Alfa Wanbatz with 18 points, four rebounds and five assists followed by Noah Armean with 15 points.
Not to be outdone, Rex Tuazon erupted for 35 points laced with nine rebounds and seven assists to power the Miners to a 102-90 whacking of the Persecutors.
Alvie Alviola and Japeth Pitogo backed up Tuazon with 19 and 14 points, respectively. — EBV
