Hoops Arlon Cup All-Star showdown gets underway
CEBU, Philippines — The Hoop Nation’s Arlon Cup Season 1 All-Star spectacle unfurls with the 3-point shooting contest today at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
Among the top contenders of the winner-take-all shootout that will take place from 8 to 11 p.m. are Aaron Sing of SIV, Crow Morano of MEQ Builders, Jherjacz Jaca of 5 Joints, Kelvin Cinco of the Broncos, and Wesler Lim of Clutch City.
On Saturday, May 28, the league’s highly anticipated All-Star games will be contested.
In a unique format, four teams will fight it out for supremacy. These are the Apo Hiking, Perature, Hoopstars, and T.D.G.
Team Apo Hiking is composed of Mark Capili, Tapoy Lao, Jun Angel Salado, Amir Batiancila, Justin Ramas, Anthony Romero Logroño, Jezreel Padilla, Ralph John Belarmino, Bong Gabison, Jan Paolo Yu, Aaron Baldwin Sing, Bernard-Aizel Mongcupa, Bal Zaspa, Ian Sulit, and Justine Aspacio.
The Perature squad is manned by Nikko Ravina, Mariano Caranoo, JR Manzanares, Raymart Saito, Nino Belande, JBO Bolofer, Marzouk Abdul Rahman, Michael Neri, Billy Pacquiao, and Francis Buck Manzanares.
Leslee Cannen, Angelo Fìshè Prieto, James Harold Truz, Kelvin Cinco, Mitch Gallardo, Miles Tongco, Marvin Agruda, Wilkin Sanchez, Michael Pahid, Kirk Oyangoren, Gerald Baculi, Hope Gideon, and Kenny Genobia comprise the Hoopstars.
Suiting up for T.D.G are Vinz Shu, Duke Donaire, Komander Tirador, Javellana Dandan, Bran Borces, Jonas Mejos, Raphael Tallo, Bernard Bermudo, Jeff Michael Gudes, Jude Soon, Jovane Raagas, Cyrus Vergara, Jesse Intrapas, Clint Remedio, and Anthony Alquizar.
The winners of the first-round matches at 10 a.m. will advance to the final battle at 2 pm. — EBV
