Team Kobe, S.I.V stay perfect in Hoops Arlon Cup

CEBU, Philippines —  Team Kobe and S.I.V kept their unbeaten records intact in Hoop Nation’s Arlon Cup Season 1 over the weekend at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Jonas Mejos produced another monster double-double performance of 27 points and 15 rebounds to power Team Kobe to a 76-62 thrashing of I.28 Realty.

Mejos also had four blocks for Team Kobe, which stretched its lead in the East Division standings with an unblemished 7-0 slate.

On the other hand, Ralph Belarmino dropped 25 points on top of nine rebounds and two assists as Simple Blends trounced the Brothers, 76-50, to improve its win-loss mark fo 4-2.

Over in the West Division, S.I.V drubbed the Cebuanos, 63-54, to stay perfect in five starts.

Jezreel Padilla tossed in 15 points points and 13 rebounds as S.I.V joined DMY Events atop the West leaderboard with identical 5-0 slates.

In the other result, Triple M annihilated Letsgo!, 79-49, for its second win in five games.  Gil John Recimo barely missed a triple-double for Triple M with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. — EBV
