DMY Events now 5-0 in Hoop Nation’s Arlon Cup
CEBU, Philippines — DMY Events outgunned Pfizer, 75-67, to stretch its hot streak to five games in Hoop Nation’s Arlon Cup Season 1 last Friday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Jeff Michael Gudes delivered another all-around performance with 25 points, four rebounds, and three assists as DMY Events solidified its hold of the solo lead in the West Division with a perfect 5-0 record.
Pfizer fell to 3-2.
In the East, I.28 Realty banked on the game-long brilliance of Rex Puerto to silence the Wolves, 80-77.
Puerto, who finished with 21 points, completed his heroics with a crucial basket in the dying seconds that sealed I.28 Realty’s second win in five starts.
Puerto also had four rebounds and a steal for I.28 Realty, which handed the Wolves their only second loss against three victories.
The three-month tournament is organized by Adrian Dy, who founded Hoops Nation in 2015. — EBV
