BJ Pepito out to dazzle fans in Oslob motocross

CEBU, Philippines —  Multi-titled Cebuano daredevil BJ Enage-Pepito is out to dazzle his fans as he brings his gravity-defying stunts to the 2nd Mayor Jun Tumulak Oslob Invitational Motocross 2021 on December 12 at the specially-designed race course in Barangay Poblacion of the Southern town famed for its whale sharks, world-class diving spots, and eco-friendly island resorts.

Pepito is coming off a successful campaign in 1st Tiger Motocross Series 2021 last week in Tilhaong, Consolacion where the “Wonder Boy” from the municipality of Daanbantayan north of Cebu reigned supreme in the open production and ended up third in the tougher expert category.

Pepito showed great resilience in clinching the open production title. The former MS Motosuit Rider of the Year crashed in the first heat where he finished only sixth, but regained his composure with aplomb in the second heat on the way to taking the coveted first-place honors.

Now, the 20-year-old Pepito shifts his focus to the Oslob race that is expected to draw around 150 participants, from pro up to veterans and kids, across the Visayas and Mindanao region.

“The racetrack will be having its natural terrain nga ganahan kaayo sa mga riders and it will be a 1.2-1.5km stretch,” said event organizer Alan Rhey Padica, himself a topnotch rider.

Aside from Pepito, the likes of Jubenile Abellar and Jonjon Adlawan also make up the list of top contenders in the one-day tiff backstopped by LGU Oslob headed by mayor Jose “Jun” C. Tumulak Jr. and Boljoon councilor Alexius Celis.

Organized by Alan Padica of Adrenaline Promotions in partnership with Daanbantayan councilor Malou Enage-Pepito of BP8 Promotions, it is among the highlights of Oslob’s annual fiesta celebration in honor of its beloved patroness Immaculate Conception. — EBV
