Miss Cebu is back

CEBU, Philippines —  After a five-year hiatus, Miss Cebu is returning in 2022, as announced yesterday during the launch of the Cebu City’s government’s Tourism Month (Lakbay Lingaw) at Il Corso.

“A rebirth of beauty, an awakening of a queen, she is a Cebuana. As she embraces the new normal, she continues to be compassionate, and values her culture and heritage with an enduring faith. She is proud of Cebu,” says a video plug of the prestigious pageant that crowned Raine Baljak as its latest winner in 2016 before political issues put a stop to the annual must-see.

Qualifications for Miss Cebu 2022 aspirants are as follows: 18-25 years old, pleasing personality, good moral character, at least a graduating high school student, fluent in English and Cebuano, minimum height of 5’3”, holder of a valid Philippine passport, must be a Filipino citizen, must be  a resident of Cebu of not less than three years, must not be an applicant of any other beauty search during the duration of the pageant, and must not be an employee of the Cebu City government.
