Chamber Beat: CCCI solo mothers ICT and life skills training is now in session

CEBU, Philippines —  The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (CCCI), in partnership with the New Zealand Embassy Manila Office and in collaboration with the City Government of Cebu, is set for the conduct of the fourth batch of online Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Training and Life Skills Training for Solo Mothers in the City of Cebu following its on-site orientation on October 14, 2021 where 20 Solo Mothers were present at Brgy. Lorega San Miguel Sports Complex while 6 others joined via Zoom.

The training aims at empowering and better targeting solo mothers with the current ICT and life-skills training programs that will help them seize economic opportunities and fully benefit from the current digital era.

The program officially launched on Monday morning, October 18, followed immediately by the 2-part ICT training to run on October 18 to 22 with a one-on-one mentoring session on October 25 to November 2. The second part of the training will follow on November 4-5, 2021.

The Life Skills Training will be conducted on November 8 – 9 which targets to deepen the knowledge of solo mothers on the mindset and values of entrepreneurs, enhance their self-confidence, and further their knowledge on personal financial management, effective communication and customer service orientation.

The ICT and Life Skills Training in the Island of Cebu Project is made possible with the assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), and the Department of Information, Communication and Technology (DICT).
