Life Reflection

READER’S VIEWS - The Freeman

President or peasant, rich or poor, life presents an exceptional expedition, a personal tour, an outing to perceive a brief glimpse of the vast wonder of what is.

Life and death are every moment events, and sometimes we forget that even an insect or a bacteria are in itself miraculous.

The evil, and the good, all share the same ultimate liability for our existence. Our birth has a price we all must face, this journey from conception to death.

Avoidance of pain and the pursuit of pleasure underlie our every decision, either conscious or not.

Physicists claim there is randomness to the particles of nature. Perhaps this influences and morphs our basic human nature and decisions more than we realize, affecting the multitude of things we do or think.

The planets, suns and galaxies have an end. Many we see now are already long gone, only existing as light, its energy either dispersed or, perhaps, absorbed by a black hole.

Regardless, at the end, we have only four primary things: those deeds which we are proud, those which we are ashamed, those who we loved, and those who loved us.
