Wolves outgun Cougars in Hoops Arlon Cup

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines —  The Wolves silenced the Cougars, 59-54, in Hoop Nation’s Arlon Cup Season 1 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Bal Zaspa fired 28 points on top of nine rebounds as the Wolves solidified their hold of the second place in the East Division with a 10-3 win-loss record, just a full game behind the 11-3 Simple Blends.

The Cougars though still have something to be happy about as they earlier spanked the Brothers, 64-56.

Joshua Balangkig  scored only four but passed away 13 assists and picked up two steals for the Cougars, who now hold a 6-8 card.

Randy Ty had a double-double show of 21 points and 11 rebounds but to no avail as the Brothers dropped to 3-10.

In the other game, Gerald Baculi piled up 24 points, 12 rebounds and four assists as Pfizer tamed RKC, 72-65, for its fifth victory in 11 games.

Glenn Ybanez exploded for 30 points but his efforts went in vain as RKC fell to 3-7. — EBV
