Our victorious God in control!

PERSPECTIVE - Cherry Piquero Ballescas - The Freeman

The so-called “landslide” unofficial, partial May 2022 electoral results are already celebrated by one group but are contested, questioned by another.

Best to wait until the last election results are canvassed/confirmed.

Let us edit that -make that until the last/complete GENUINE election results are verified/confirmed, without doubt.

Till then, let us stay still, let go and let God!

Meanwhile, have you viewed these post-election FB messages?

From Tricia Robredo, this inspiring message:

“Woke up this morning to endless messages asking how we are.

It’s honestly quite difficult to look for the right words without the risk of being misinterpreted but here’s an attempt.

Totoong masakit at mahirap maunawaan but I don’t think it compares to the heartbreak we felt when we lost our dad. Even then, we had to soldier on – dahil maraming umaasa at may mga laban na kailangang ilaban. Hindi nawala ang sakit pero mas lalong hindi nawala ang pagmamahal. Kaya nagpatuloy.

This crossed my mind throughout the day, as I tried to make sense of what has happened so far and as I navigated my way through a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.

One of my favorite professors from college once told me, “if you want to save the world, you have to absorb all its pain. Hindi puwedeng walang aray.”

There’s grief that sows unproductive anger, but there’s a kind that reminds you of how fiercely you cared and that propels you to love and try harder.

I see it in Mama. I see it in my sisters. That’s why I’m at peace and that’s how I also know we’ll all be alright.

Kaya anuman ang maging resulta at anuman ang mangyari, taas noo.

Hindi dapat ikahiya ang isang pusong pagod at sugatan.

Ipamalas ang pinagdaanan at ipagmalaki ang lahat ng nasaksikahan.

Walang sayang.

Kapit.

Nagsisimula palang.”

From FB again, this advice from political psychologist Tina Montiel:

“If you read social media posts about possible cheating on Election Day, be careful - do not immediately believe or repost such, unless you know the source first hand.

This may be part of black ops ng kabila, to sow anger among Leni-Kiko supporters, and chaos during the electoral process.

Inhale, exhale, focus nalang muna.

During the Clinton-Trump campaign, Russia also sowed internal confusion and disarray, by taking on e-identities of pipol in progressive groups.

Wag tayo kumagat sa psychological black ops ng kalaban, na nagkukunwaring kakampi natin.

We will win. We don’t need any social confusion at this historical moment.

Ang Talo lang ang makikinabang sa gulo. Maraming salamat.”

And this thanksgiving prayer:

“Dear God, while others see the million votes, we see instead the million hearts of volunteers You have touched, through Leni, during the campaign.

No one can take this experience from these millions, Lord, and through them, we realize, that You have already sown and shown us, not only Your victory, but so much hope and faith for our future as well.

May pag-asa, may bukas for our people, our country, for us all, dear God!

Thank You, Lord, for Your victory and for being in complete control where we are now, in our Red Sea.

We await Your parting of our Red Sea and our country’s deliverance, if this be Your will, through Your grace, in Your time, in Your way.

Thank You, our victorious God, for Your love and for being in control always!

Allow us to also lift our prayers to our Mama Mary of Fatima, whose feast day we will celebrate tomorrow, May 13.

Mama Mary, just as you did at Edsa when our people and nation were delivered from dictatorship/abuse, please intercede, once again, for peace/healing/unity of our country and for God’s victory through His genuine servant leaders.

Thank you. Amen.”
