Anxiety

THE EAR - The Freeman

He first lost his appetite, then grew tired. Because no food totally invited him into eating, he grew weaker by the day. Things suddenly blew out of proportion as he thought he had coronavirus.

You see, he just learned that their immediate neighbors died of the virus two weeks back and their (neighbors’) two grandchildren are under home quarantine just next to their apartment unit.

The anxiety episode made him weak even more. With the help of video calls to family members and the support of his own wife, he made it. He slowly gained back his strength. He realized that he was not suffering from coronavirus infection. “Napasmo ra man diay ko,” he said.
