ILL-TIMING. For one Filipino seaman working outside the country, the timing of COVID-19 could not have been worse. He was scheduled to go home for a brief leave just when the travel restrictions hit.

It would have been the first time for the newbie seaman, who has been on assignment for six months, to go home to his family.

“Sayang lagi, na-timing lang,” he told The EAR.
