MASTERING THE ART. President Rodrigo Duterte and his administration seem to have become experts in denial, especially on controversial issues.

An Ear informer made an example the case of former Daanbantayan town mayor Vicente Loot. He said Duterte vehemently denied having a hand in Loot’s ambush over a year ago. But the other day, the Ear informer noted, the president admitted he ordered the former mayor’s ambush.

Now, he continued, the Palace denied such statement, blaming Duterte’s lack of proficiency in Filipino language.
