Phobia of upland areas

BACKING OUT. After the devastating landslide that killed over a dozen people and left dozens of others still missing in the City of Naga, Cebu, one person is now wary of buying a lot in an upland area in the same city.

A man said he was eyeing an upland property, but while it is not located near any quarry operation he said he suspects the surrounding area is mostly limestone.

“Mora’g gaduha-duha nako mopalit atong yutaa. Maygani wa pako nakabayad,” he told The EAR.
