Pay 100T to save lots from demolition

SCAMMED. Uneasiness gripped a community in Cebu City after news that the court has ordered the demolition of their homes. But the trouble didn’t stop there. Some unscrupulous people sent the residents letters promising their homes would not be touched if they paid P100,000.

The senders, of course, were in no position to make such a promise, but this did not stop some of the worried homeowners from paying anyway. Some found out too late that is was a con.

The community is still appealing the decision of the court.
