"DIRECT CORRELATION" A lawyer who runs his own firm and seen his share of hopefuls who pass or fail in the Bar said through the years he has observed a common trend among those who pass or fail; those who are so cocksure are the ones who usually fail while the ones who worry if they passed are usually the ones who make it.

He recalled a paralegal a few years back who declared the Bar was so easy and was so sure she passed, she was making grand plans. Then come reckoning day her hopes were dashed. On the other hand, her colleague who kept making plans for a career other than law made it.
