All set for inaugural Copa Cebu

CEBU, Philippines — It’s all systems go for the inaugural Copa Cebu 2025 football festival on June 13-15 at the Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex in South Road Properties (SRP).
Spearheaded by Gene Noel Gallarde of RAD Chameleon Apparels with Renz Miko Murillo as tournament commissioner, the event’s maiden edition is sanctioned by the Cebu Regional Football Association (CRFA).
Architect Josephril “Jhojo” Partosa of CRFA welcomed the inclusion of Copa in Cebu’s vibrant football calendar. He praised the organizers for their commitment in the promotion and development of the sport up to the grassroots level in this side of the country.
Testament to that, the three-day tilt features multiple age groups, from the mixed Under 5 to U11 and the boys U12 to U19.
There will also be categories for Soccer Moms and 38-above booters as well as the premier men’s and women’s open.
The champions in the U9, U11, and U13 will be rewarded with free registration to the prestigious Philippines Cup later this year, while the MVPs will receive a brand-new cleats from one of the sponsors.
To streamline the competition and minimize waiting time for players, the number of participants per division will be limited.
The organizers have also put key measures in place to enhance player and spectator experience, including tents for shelter while waiting, water stations for player hydration, alcohols for sanitation after each match, and a medical and security personnel for safety and emergency response.
