Huna FC leads Fiesta Copa winners

CEBU, Philippines — The spirited soccer players of Huna FC came out as the biggest winners during the highly successful 1st Fiesta Copa Football Festival held in Bogo City over the weekend.
Huna FC, a football club based in Cebu City that was formed only last year, fended off San Roque FC in the final match to snare the men’s open crown of the two-day tilt spearheaded by Bogo City FC with the support of Cebu Regional Football Association (CRFA).
Not to be outdone, the Rongcales Futbolitos posted a 1-2 finish in the 38-above battle, while LaHorse FC defeated Bogo City FC to emerge as champions in the exciting showdown among Soccer Moms.
On the other hand, Don Bosco FC upended San Roque FC to reign supreme in the 18 Under category, Giuseppe FC downed the Azkals Developmental Academy (ADA)-Cebu to clinch the boys 16 Under title, while the Center of Development (COD)-Cebu City Team, a mixture of young and promising booters from Giuseppe, Sugbo Calidad and Cebu United, bested Near North to rule the boys 14 Under.
Barili FC caught part of the spotlight after rolling past Don Bosco-Liloan to snatch the girls 15 Under tiara.
In other results, the Lapu-Lapu Heroes subdued Guiseppe FC to dominate the mixed 8 Under age group, the University of San Carlos (USC) prevailed over Sugbo Calidad FC to lord it over in the mixed 10 Under, while the Cebu Football Club Academy-Elite outsmarted Sugbo Calidad to top the mixed Under 12 division.
