CEBU, Philippines — Big Yellow Gym mainstay Rhonvex “The Body Snatcher” Capuloy scored a smashing second round knockout of veteran Jason Tinampay to secure the World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Australasian super featherweight belt in the main event of “Bakbakan Uno” fight card presented by Big Yellow Promotions on Tuesday night, December 10 at the Conequip Philippines showroom along F.E. Zuellig Avenue in North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City.

While pressing on the attack, the 28-year-old Capuloy suddenly sneaked in an energy-sapping body shot that sent Tinampay down at the seat of his pants for good at the 1:15 mark of round two.

“Wala ko mag-expect nga mapaundang nako siya og sayosayo kay beterano sab si Tinampay. Natimingan lang gyud nako dayon siya,” said the Bais City, Negros Oriental-native ring gladiator.

“Salamat kaayo sa tanang mga nisuporta nako labi na sa among manager ug promoter nga si sir ninong Seth ug mam Mae Tio ug sa akong trainer nga si Pingping Tepora,” added Capuloy, who improved his record to 12-3-3 now spiked with 9KOs. Tinampay fell to 14-20-2 with 11KOs.

In the supporting bouts, Big Yellow’s Reycar Auxilio (7-4-1, 5KOs) forced ex-ALA boxer Jess Rhey Waminal (16-12-1, 9 KOs) to quit on his stool at the end of round four, while Arlando Senoc Jr. pulled off a fifth round TKO victory over George Sedillo in the most explosive match of the night.

Jusue “Pistolero” Bastillada edged Paolo Fortun by unanimous decision, while

Emji Felicilda and Mark Anthony Sarino also prevailed by unanimous verdict over Ronnie Urgel and Norman Rusiana, respectively.

Johnrey Labajo came up with a second round stoppage of Dixon Ercillo, while Taiwan’s Ming Hung Lee needed just one round to dispatch Kim Lindog.
