CEBU, Philippines — Ryan Lo and Hanzel Uy both produced a double-double as the 2kcares.org fended off the Magis Medical Fund, 46-41, for its second victory in a row in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 27 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles Arena in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Lo sizzled with 13 points that went along with 17 rebounds and one steal, while Uy tallied 10 markers spiked with 11 rebounds, two assists and three steals for 2kcares.org, which grabbed the temporary lead in Division A with a clean 2-0 slate.

Jasper Salomeo pulled down 17 boards to spice up his nine points in a losing effort for Magis Medical Fund.

On the other hand, Derick Mangubat exploded for 30 points on top of eight boards and a steal as the GMall of Cebu barged into the win column with a 70-50 thrashing of Yangtze Ice.

Paul Cabrera and Andrew Eraso also made their presence felt for GMall of Cebu with 22 points in between them.

Benedict Chua was the lone Yangtze Ice player to crack double figures with 10 points.

In Division B, Franco Augusto Te and Ervin Lopena showed the way as the 04 The Win Batch 2004 squeaked past Radius One Batch 2007, 65-62.

Te pumped in 15 points laced with 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block while Lopena banged in 14 markers, 11 boards, and four dimes. Christopher Consunji was the other double-digit scorer with 11 points for Batch 2004.

Brenon Gothong and Mark Uykingtan combined for 34 points but to no avail for Batch 2007.

In other results, Jan Galo erupted for 28 points as Subtero Batch 2006 whipped Insular Square Batch 2005, 75-60, while Gabe Branzuela and Jasper Diaz connived for 41 points and 22 rebounds to power ZLREJ Trading & Construction Batch 2010 to a 59-43 drubbing of ZeroNine Batch 2009.
