CEBU, Philippines —  Inspired by the warm cheers of its home fans, Balamban Toffellie outclassed its neighbor Toledo Joyful City, 98-90, to stay unbeaten in the inaugural Northball Under 25 Inter-Town Basketball Tournament over the weekend at the Mayor Esperanza Binghay Memorial Sports Complex in Balamban, Cebu.

Balamban, thus, assumed the solo leadership in Bracket D with a perfect 2-0 record while dealing Toledo Joyful City

its first defeat in two starts.

Over at the Capitol Parish gym along Escario Street in Cebu City, the Lapu-Lapu City Rongcales Customs Brokerage subdued Cebu City Bertech, 90-80.

Rongcales now holds a 2-1 card while Bertech tasted its first setback in two games.

Meanwhile, Carmen CTRG Lechon and the Sogod Falcons both barged into the win column.

Carmen kicked off its campaign with an 86-81 victory over the Catmon AC Troopers, while Sogod readily bounced from its opening loss and vented its ire on Danao Gun City via a masterful 109-86 demolition. — EBV
