CEBU, Philippines — Team CK and Simple Blends pounded their respective rivals to stretch their perfect starts to 6-0 in the Hoop Nation-Arlon Cup Season 2 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Deej Villanueva sank four 3-pointers of his 16 points to power CK to an 86-56 rout of Plur, while RJ Acha sparkled with 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists as Simple Blends pummeled the Young Chiefs, 105-69.
Likewise, JSA stayed unbeaten in four games after gunning down the Prayboys, 73-68. Rickymar Berdin paced JSA with 16 markers on top of five boards and two dimes.
On the other hand, JKV and Sinai Mountain Resort edged separate foes to improve their records to 4-1.
Kelvin Cinco fired 22 points laced with five rebounds and a steal as JKV bested Tried Door, 58-53, while Herbert Abasanta unloaded 29 points, seven rebounds and four assists in Sinai’s 84-73 whacking of the Brothers.
In the other action, the Trojan Warriors triumphed for the third time in four matches after escaping past TCLA, 75-73, Livelux.Life outclassed Venoms, 83-77, to go 3-2, while Mt. View Village spanked S.I.V, 82-71, to even its slate at 3-3.
Gino Sollano erupted for 31 points spiked with eight rebounds and two blocks for the Trojan Warriors, Miguel Gastador sizzled with 30 points, 10 rebounds and two steals for Livelux.Life, while John Carl Aquillo collected 19 points, five rebounds and two assists for Mt. View Village.
The rest of the results saw Koruna Assist whipping Sheraf Bistro, 74-65, to level its record at 2-2 and Imperium Event crushing Parokya Ni Edgar, 84-74, for its second win in five games.
