Polog rolls into senior B final
CEBU, Philippines — Fomer collegiate standout and commercial veteran Randy de la Pisa fired 27 points as Polog blasted Garing, 83-51, in the 11th Mayor Teresa “Nene” P. Alegado Fiesta Cup basketball tournament in Consolacion, Cebu.
Prani Suson and Paul Dave Branzuela connived for 23 points for Polog, which march into the final of Inter-Barangay category B.
In category A, Tayud booted out Poblacion Oriental, 125-94, behind the 29-point explosion of Gerald Fernandez. Michael Alinsug scored 17 while Arnel Momo chipped in 13 markers for Tayud.
In the other divisions, Pitogo, Pulpogan and Jugan eliminated their respectice rivals.
James Ethan Maglasang and Froilan Maglasang dropped 21 points each while Jhonloyd Pepito added 16 points sa Pitogo ousted Jugan, 92-82, in SK category A.
Daniel Mendoza had 17 points and Jinxes Salinas tossed in 12 points as Pulpogan booted out Poblacion Oriental, 78-72, while Zairyp Pilapi erupted for 29 points and Lee Michael Dahil torched 21 points to help Jugan send Lamac into early vacation, 95-92, in midget category A. — EBV
