CP Construction keeps solo lead

CEBU, Philippines — CP Construction bested Castille, 68-58, to stay on top of the heap in Sunday Night Hoops at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Arnel Azarcon dished out 20 points, seven rebounds and two assists for CP Construction, which kept the solo lead with a 6-1 win-loss record.

Spit on Them remained at second place with a 6-2 slate after trouncing Rustans, 63-52. France Panes paced Spit on Them with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists.

Palfox, on the other hand, split their games for a 3-2 mark. They routed Castille, 60-41, but bowed down to  Space Jam, 50-55.

Bucky Manzanares had 16 points, nine assists, and five rebounds as Space Jam triumphed for only the third time in eight starts.

In the other games, Eugene Nichole Boholst collected 17 points, five assists and two steals to lift the Brazzers past the Night Squad, 64-56, while Wawa Tuason fired 24 points on top of six rebounds and four assists as the Fastbrake mauled the Labangon Reapers, 72-53.

Fastbrake evened its record to 3-3 while the Brazzers improved to 2-4.— EBV
