CEBU, Philippines — The Asian Orthopedics 2014 and Storage Town 2015 kept their undefeated records intact in Division C of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 25 at the Magis Eagles Arena of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Giovanni Laguyo pumped in 20 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals as the Asian Orthopedics 2014 destroyed Casa Mira 2021, 96-54, to firm up its grip of the solo lead with an immaculate 4-0 slate.

Lucky Ecarma piled up 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Arvid Jason Ong added 13 points while Josemaria Rafael Navarro chipped in 12 markers and three boards for Batch 2014, which mauled the hapless Batch 2021 from the start until the end of the one-sided match on the way to a 36-point blowout.

Rey Marcus Fuentes cashed in 16 points and pulled down four rebounds while Walter Franz Yu was the only other double-digit scorer with 10 for Batch 2021, which slumped to its third straight loss.

On the other hand, Anton Araw-Araw nearly hit a triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists laced with five steals as Storage Town 2015 outlasted the debuting RDAK Powersports 2020, 75-68.

Chaz Cokaliong sank five of his team-high tying 17 points while Steven Co and Daniel Gillamac contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively, to help Storage Town notch back-to-back victories.

Mitch Ivan Almodal paced Batch 2020 with 19 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals while Zeke Swayze Himaya added 18 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals in a losing effort.

In the lone Division B match, Kyle Edwin Valmoria fired 26 points on top of nine rebounds and seven assists as

Starkwood Properties 2009 barged into the win column with an 83-70 drubbing of Marjaztin Glass Trading & Construction 2008.

Niel Benedicto donated 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Batch 2009, which snapped out ot its three-game jinx.

Jonathan Edmon Cimafranca dropped 24 points, five rebounds and four steals while Ed Bonphyl Macasling scored 16 but to no avail as Batch 2008 stumbled for the third time in a row. — EBV
