Plastic Men, Buffalos crush foes in double all-Cebu showdown
CEBU, Philippines — The Sherilin-Unisol Mandaue City Plastic Men and the San Fernando Buffalos clobbered their respective rivals in the first double all-Cebu showdown of the 2022 Pilipinas Super League (PSL) 21 Under-VisMin leg last Friday night at the Cordova Sports Complex in Cordova, Cebu.
JZ Dizon had 15 points, two rebounds and two assists while Christopher Erick Isabelo added 12 points and four assists as the Plastic Men demolished the Bogo City Bugoys, 94-72.
Emman Suarez chipped in 11 markers and three dimes for the Plastic Men, who now hold a 4-3 win-loss record.
Romyr Kirt Gonzaga piled up 21 points, six rebounds and five assists but his singular offensive outburst proved futile as the listless Bugoys crashed to their seventh straight defeat.
On the other hand, Adrian Go dropped 22 points on top of six rebounds while Jhon Lyster Mamalia added 18 points, two rebounds and four assists to power the Buffalos to a 98-77 thrashing of Lapu-Lapu City Pantum.
Franzel Basalo muscled his way to 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists as the Buffalos notched their third victory in seven games.
Jeco Bancale fired 23 points laced with two rebounds and seven assists while Joernel Tangkay scattered 21 points, seven boards and three assists but their efforts went down the drain as the Pantum suffered their fifth setback in seven starts. — EBV
