CEBU, Philippines —  Rising super bantamweight star “Magic” Mike Plania led a clean sweep by Sanman fighters in the latest episode of Sanman Boxing’s Bubble Series at their stable gym in General Santos City.

The 24-year-old Plania dominated countryman Emmanuel Ogawa from the outset en route to a shutout decision victory over six rounds.

The three judges had identical scores of 60-54 for Plania, who improved to 25-1 spiked with 12KOs.

Plania, who once held the WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver and IBF North American super bantamweight belts, nailed his ninth straight win since he suffered his first and lone career defeat at the hands of Juan Carlos Payano of Dominican Republic during their WBO Intercontinental bantamweight title fight on March 23, 2018 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.

Plania’s undefeated stablemates in Jayson “Smasher” Mama and Jade “Hurricane” Bornea also came out victorious.

Mama battered Romshane Sarguilla at will right from the opening bell.

Saving himself from further punishment, Sarguilla quit on his stool before the start of the eight round for an RTD win (referee technical decision) for Mama, who stretched his perfect record to 16-0 spiked with 9KOs.

Like Mama, Bornea also padded his immaculate slate to 16-0 dotted with 10KOs after pulling of a lopsided unanimous decision win over Roland Jay Biendima. The judges scored it 100-90 and 99-91 twice all in favor of Bornea.

In the other featured match, John Vincent Pangga prevailed over Elizer Ambon by unanimous verdict in their four-round duel.

Most of the bouts may have lasted the full distance, but all-out action was evident in every match-up.

“These warriors came to the ring all prepared for war. I commend all opponents for giving our boxers good quality fights. This shows the quality of match making that we do in our promotion. Thanks to our loyal followers and to all boxing fans,” said Sanman CEO Jim Claude “JC” Manangquil in a statement. — EBV
