Curry overtakes Miller for No.2 in NBA all-time 3s
CEBU, Philippines — Stephen Curry reached another milestone in his illustrious NBA career.
The Golden State Warriors talisman passed the legendary Reggie Miller for second place on NBA’s all-time list in 3-pointers made.
The 32-year-old Curry achieved the feat during their 108-127 loss to the Utah Jazz on Saturday night (Sunday morning, Phl time).
In that game, the two-time MVP and six-time All-Star converted five of 10 attempts from beyond the arc to raise his 3-point hits to 2, 562.
Curry, the scoring champion in 2016, surpassed the 2,560 3-pointers made by Miller in 1,389 regular season games during Miller’s 18-year stint with the Indiana Pacers.
Interestingly, Curry drained his 3s in just his 715th game and 12th season in the league.
Curry now trains his sights on the record of Ray Allen, who holds the top spot with 2,973 treys in 18 seasons he spent with the Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle SuperSonics (now OKC Thunder), Boston Celtics, and Miami Heat. — EBV
