Didal scoops 3 silvers in online tilts

CEBU, Philippines — Cebuana pro skater Margielyn Didal felt fortunate enough to have won three silver medals in different international online tournament she joined despite performing her tricks in limited spots along the sidewalk.

The world No.14 Didal represented Asia in the Poseidon Foundation’s Global Game of Skate in the United States where she placed second behind Australia’s Julia Brueckler.

Afterwhich, the Lahug, Cebu City-native Didal competed in the Exposure event also in the US and in the Urban World Series in Madrid, Spain.

The Asian Games and Southeast Asian (SEA) Games gold medalist edged world No. 8 Gabriela Mazetto to reach the final round but again settled for silver after losing to Nanaka Fukisawa of Japan in the Urban World Series.

The Tokyo Olympics hopeful Didal ended up claiming her third silver medal after bowing anew to Fukisawa in their final match in the Exposure online tilt.
